Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani announces 10% reservation in govt jobs for EWS
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today announced 10% reservation in government jobs to the economically weaker in general category. He also made it clear that the reservation will be for those who are fresh applicant and not applicable for already concluded exams.
The Constitutional amendment to provide the 10 per cent quota received assent of President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday. The new quota will also be implemented in admissions and jobs which were advertised before January 14 but for which the actual process has not started, the release further said. In such cases, fresh announcement about the admission process or jobs will have to be made, it added.
