Delhi: 11 members of a family found dead in Burari; may not be suicide case

A tragic incident has shocked Delhi again, where 11 members of same family were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Burari area.
Ten bodies were found hanging inside a house while a 75-year-old woman’s body was found lying on the floor.
Among those found hanging, many bodies were blindfolded.
As per initial reports, the dead include seven women and four men.
The number of children found hanging is five.
Prima facie police are suspecting it to be a case of collective suicide, however they have not yet provided further details and are probing the incident from all angles.
As per the locals, the family had business of milk and furniture, while many said they owned grocery shop.
As per reports, the matter came to light when a neighbour went to the shop owned by the family to get some milk early morning, but on finding the shop closed went to their house and spotted the hanging bodies early morning and informed the police.
"Bodies of 7 women and 4 men including three teenagers have been found. We are investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything" said Joint CP Delhi on the matter.
Ward commissioner Rekha Sinha informed that the family belonged to a person named Lalit and those deceased include him along with his mother, sister,wife, children, brother, brother's wife and his children.
