Country mourns over rape of 7-year-old while political parties continue 'poor politics' on accused's religion

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man who abducted her from outside her school in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur on Tuesday. As per reports, she was waiting for her father outside her school in Hafiz Colony when accused named Imran alias Bhaiyyu abducted on her way home from school on the pretext of getting sweets for the kid. The rapist attempted to slash the throat of the victim after raping her.

The Madhya Pradesh Police on Friday arrested one more person in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual assault of the girl. Asif (24) was held from Madarpura locality of the city, after Irfan alias Bhaiyu (20), arrested on Wednesday night, named him as his accomplice in the heinous crime, as per the report.

But despite of this shameful incident, political parties are debating over accused's religion.
