Aslam Sher Khan offers to replace Rahul Gandhi as Congress President

Days after Congress President Rahul Gandhi handed over his resignation from the post of party Chief at party’s Working Committee meeting, after a massive defeat in Lok Sabha elections, speculations floated that Gandhi has retracted his resignation. 
Aslam Sher Khan, ex-union minister and hockey Olympian on his letter to Rahul Gandhi says, "I wrote when Congress lost elections once again. When Rahul Gandhi said he wants to step down&wants someone else, someone not from his family, to take the charge I thought there's an opportunity."
