Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said in a statement during the road show of Hyderabad election that the name of Hyderabad should be changed to Bhagyanagar. This statement of Yogi has now been reversed by Chief of Asaduddin Owaisi of MIM. Targeting Owaisi's party during his road show, Yogi said that "People who live in India do not take the name of Hindustan in oath". He also said that "We have renamed Allahabad as Prayagraj. They are symbols of our culture. So why can't the ancient name of Hyderabad be Bhagyanagar." So what is the game of re-naming?
