Jaipur: Speaking for the first time ever since Rajasthan embroiled in a political crisis, former state Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vasundhara Raje on Saturday said that it is the people of Rajasthan who are paying for the "discord within the Congress". Raje took to micro-blogging site Twitter and said, "it is unfortunate that the people of Rajasthan are paying for the discord within the Congress." Since over a week now, Rajasthan is undergoing a political turmoil that has seen Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot revolt against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. While Congress has flayed the BJP for "hatching a conspiracy" to bring down the party's government in the desert state, the saffron party has alleged that Rajasthan is witnessing an "indirect emergency" due to Congress' internal rifts. Further in her post, Raje asked the Congress to think about the people of the state and said, "there is no point trying to drag the BJP and the BJP leaders names through the mud. It is the interest of the our people that must remain paramount."
