Gyanvapi and 'Shivling': The story as stated in survey report | Namaste Bharat (20 May 2022)

The team that surveyed the Gyanvapi Masjid submitted its report to the Varanasi court on Thursday. However, the Supreme Court asked the court to not to hold the proceedings for another day. Meanwhile, an important hearing will be held in the Supreme Court today. Just before the hearing, the Hindu side has filed a reply claiming that the Hindus had been following their rituals, circumambulating at the same site for centuries. Aurangzeb did not establish any waqf. The disputed site is not a mosque.

They said, "Thousands of years before Islamic rule in India, the property belongs to Adi Vishweshwar. God's property cannot be given to anyone. Aurangzeb, being the ruler, had forcibly captured. This does not give the right to the property to the Muslims."
