UP Elections: RPN Singh Vs Swami Prasad Maurya | Hoonkar (22 Jan 2022)

On Tuesday, hours after RPN Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, rebel leader Swami Prasad Maurya declared that it will not help the saffron party in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections. With rumours prevalent that RPN Singh will be fielded from Padrauna, the Member of Legislative Assembly for the area declared there would be "no winning."  In the presence of party chief Akhilesh Yadav and several senior ministers, SP Maurya, state minister Dharam Singh Saini, and five BJP MLAs joined the Samajwadi Party on January 14.
