Ankita Bhandari Case : Ruckus in Rishikesh about the safety of daughters
Uttarakhand News: After the arrest of son of BJP leader and former minister Vinod Arya in the murder case of Ankita Bhandari in Rishikesh, the politics of the state has heated up. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat surrounded the BJP and termed this incident as a challenge to the dignity of the mountain. He said that the action taken by the police after four days of the incident also raises questions on the functioning of the government and the administration. He said that due to such an incident, the daughter-in-law and daughter of the mountain feel themselves insecure.
Ankita had disappeared under suspicious circumstances
Ankita Bhandari, the receptionist of a resort located under Laxman Jhula police station, had gone missing under suspicious circumstances. In this case, the police have arrested Vinod Arya's son and resort owner Pulkit Arya, manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta. ASP Pauri Shekhar Chandra Suyal told that the hotel owner used to pressure Ankita Bhandari to have physical relationship with the guest. On refusing, Ankita had an argument with the hotel owner and other accused. A similar incident took place on the evening of September 18 as well.
