Woman Looking For Accommodation In Bengaluru Gets Request To Share Flat For 'Life', Shares Creepy Chat On X
Along with the Tweet, she also shared a screenshot of the message she received from a stranger, who suggested that they try to find a place together
Bengaluru, the silicon valley of India is infamous for its traffic woes. Accommodation is another problem faced by the people moving into the city for jobs, as rents are high and there is a lot of grueling done by house owners. The city's renting crisis forced a man to make a creepy request to a woman searching for a place. The woman who encountered the unpleasant situation took to social media to narrate the incident.
"Perks of house-hunting in Bangalore, you get creeps free but not the house. Desperate house-hunters in Bangalore believing in 'make them an offer they can't refuse' too seriously," wrote Akanksha Mishra on the microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter.
Along with the Tweet, she also shared a screenshot of the message she received from a stranger, who suggested that they try to find a place together. Akanksha declined by saying she is uncomfortable sharing a flat with a male to whihc the mak replied saying 'Ok'.
However, the desperation did not stop there and the man once again messaged saying, "This is not the correct platform to ask. If you’re ok and single, we can share place for life (upon mutual vibe/respect)."

Talking about accommodation woes in Bengaluru a man, named Tejaswi Shrivastava, had taken to X to share a listing for a 4 BHK flat in which the property owner was seeking a rent of Rs 2.5 lakh and a security deposit of a whopping Rs 25 lakh.
What made the situation even more interesting was that the app offered the opportunity to apply for a loan to cover the security deposit.
