Sudarsan Pattnaik's Raksha Bandhan Sand Art Has A Chandrayaan-3 Twist

The picture of the sand art was shared by Pattnaik a day ago, since then it has garnered a lot of likes and comments.

World renowned sand artist and recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award, Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha celebrated Raksha Bandhan by creating a sand art on Puri beach. The art was inspired by Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) successful Chandrayaan-3 mission.

In the art one can see a woman wearing a saree, indicating the Earth, and tying a Rakhee to a man representing the Moon in what seems like space.

A photo of the art was shared on Instagram by the artist himself with the caption that read, "#HappyRakshaBandhan. We are celebrating Raksha Bandhan with #Chandamama. My sand art at Puri beach with message: 'Mother Earth is tying #Rakhi to Chanda Mama'."

"The most innovation way to wish rakhsa bandhan to all my bhai and behen... believing in the concept of origin of raksha bandhan celebration as initiated by the TAGORE....," commented one user on the post.

"Wow this is so creative," wrote another user.

Pattnaik had recently wished ISRO luck for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3. Pattnaik in his sand art had shown Chandrayaan-3 making a successful landing on Moon’s south pole with an Indian flag placed there. "All the best Chandrayaan" was also written on the base of the art, while at the top left one could see "Jay Ho Isro" written.
