On World Lion Day, Video Of A Pride Of Lions Goes Viral. It's Incredible
Some of the lions can be seen casually walking in the forest, while others stop to drink water.
Lions usually live in social groups called pride, but there are very few occasions when you see them in large numbers together. On World Lion Day celebrated every year on August 10 to create awareness about conserving them due to their declining population, Indian Forest Service officer (IFS) Parveen Kaswan shared a video of a pride of majestic lions that has caught the attention of social media users.
''Seems family is going for the celebration of #WorldLionDay2023 today at Gir. Have you seen a big family like this'," reads the caption of the post shared by Kaswan on the microblogging site Twitter.
In the video, one can see a big family of lions crossing a waterhole in a forest. Some of them can be seen casually walking, while others stop to drink water. What makes the video even more adorable is the sight of lion cubs stopping for water alongside the lionesses.
