Man Assumes English Word To Be A Hindi Swear Word, Post Sparks Laughter
The Reddit user then explained him about the confusion and the man finally apologised.
A person has taken to social media to share a hilarious incident he faced while having an interaction with his account manager over WhatsApp. He explained on Reddit how the accountant while conversing with him confused an English word with a Hindi swear word. The incident has gone viral sparking laughter among netizens.
According to the post, the accountant asked the Reddit user for a certain invoice as the one he had sent earlier was incorrect. Replying back the Reddit user asks "Sale invoice chahiye ya purchase invoice [Do you want sale invoice or purchase invoice?]." This is where the confusion crept in. The accountant immediately asked him not to use the word "sale" as he mistook it to be a Hindi swear word.
The Reddit user then explained him about the confusion and the man finally apologised.
Sharing a screenshot of his WhatsApp conversation, the man wrote "I was chatting with my account manager, he asked me for an invoice for GST verification. I couldn't stop myself from laughing after I realised that he mistook the English word “Sale” with the word “S***e” (which is considered an abusive word in Hindi), it was embarrassing."
