In the 2.08-minute video, reportedly filmed on a cell phone, the little girl walks down a road showing the potholes and explaining how mud and rains have worsened the condition. The Kashmir valley recently received a lot of snow and rain.
The youngster also showed how people were also dumping trash on the streets. "Sab gandha ho gaya hai (the neighbourhood has become dirty)," she can be heard saying.
The "reporter" also requests the viewers to "like, share, and subscribe" and promises to meet them in the next video. Many Twitter users reposted the video, which has been seen over one lakh times.
Last Year Too A Video From Kashmir Went Viral
This is not the first time that a child from Kashmir has appealed to authorities through a video message.
Last year, in a 71-second video addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, six-year-old Mahiru Irfan requested a limit on the time for online classes. The video had propelled the girl from Kashmir to overnight stardom as reporters made a beeline for her residence.
The video piqued the interest of Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who asked the School Education Department to develop a strategy to reduce the load of homework on school kids within 48 hours.
