Burger Outlet Employee's Gesture For Child Who Could Not Pay Rs 90 For Burger Is Winning Hearts

One of the customers observing the interaction at the Noida Botanical Garden Metro Station outlet clicked a picture of the child holding a Rs 10 note and posted it on his Twitter handle.

Burger is certainly among the favourite fast foods of children. Recently, a child in Uttar Pradesh's Noida walked into a Burger King outlet on October 16, which also happened to be World Food Day, with just Rs 10 in his pocket to buy a burger that was priced at Rs 90. What happened next was heart warming.

On seeing that the child was unable to pay the full amount for the burger, an employee of Burger King paid the remaining sum of Rs 80 from his pocket and placed the order.

One of the customers observing the interaction at the Noida Botanical Garden Metro Station outlet clicked a picture of the child holding a Rs 10 note and posted it on his Twitter handle and it went viral in no time.

"Ten rupees in hand but 90 rupees were needed to eat burger, but the person sitting behind the counter did not refuse and gave 80 rupees to the girl and gave burger to the girl. Yeh #WorldFoodDay2022 but a short story with a happy ending," tweeted the customer while putting the picture on the social media platform.

The move was also appreciated by Burger King India, which responded by thanking the staffer, named Dheeraj.

"What better way to celebrate #WorldFoodDay than by sharing? We hope she enjoyed her burger and want to appreciate Noida Botanical Garden Metro Station restaurant's Mr Dheeraj for being a kind king. This has further inspired us to serve everyone with just as much heart!," tweeted the company.

In another tweet, Burger King said Deepak Yadav, Head of Operations, North, held a felicitation ceremony in appreciation of Dheeraj and celebrated "his spirited gesture to a tiny soul in need".

The gesture by the restaurant employee garnered huge response from social media users as well. One of the users, while replying to the tweet, urged people to do their bit for the society.

Another user hailed the spirit of India.
