Chandrayaan-3 successfully made soft landing near the south pole of the Moon on Wednesday at 6:04 pm IST while maintaining its impeccable condition. The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 made India the fourth country in the world after the United States, Russia, and China to achieve this feat. The historic moment is still being celebrated across the country in different ways. While some are distributing sweets to express their happiness, several others have taken to social media to express their gratitude to ISRO scientists. The popular dairy brand Amul has also joined in the jubilation with its witty illustrations of the successful landing.
Taking to Instagram, Amul shared a doodle that features the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft as well as the Pragyan rover. The illustration suggests to eat something sweet - the Indian way of celebrating success - to celebrate the historic moment. The text reads "moon mitha karo" with a clever spin of the word ‘mooh’ (mouth) into the Moon. The post also suggests to have sweets for lunch or dinner, again transforming lunch as 'launch'.
Shared just a few hours back, the post has garnered 129,406 likes and is counting.
Meanwhile, Chairman of INSPACe, Dept of Space, Chairman SCALE, and DPIIT Pawan K Goenka shared the first glimpses of Rover Pragyan of Chandrayaan-3 while it was coming out of the lander on the ramp.
The objectives of Chandrayaan-3 is to conduct in-situ experiments on the lunar soil and water, and demonstrate technologies that can be used for future crewed missions to the Moon and Mars.
The Chandrayaan-3 is likely to operate on the lunar surface for one lunar day, which is equivalent to 14 Earth days.
