Viral Video | Cops In US Arrive At Punjabi Wedding After Noise Complaint. And Then...

The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office praised the attendees for their kindness and hospitality in a tweet adding that homeowners agreed to turn the music down

New Delhi: A Punjabi family in California last month witnessed two deputies of the Sheriff department appearing in one of their pre-wedding programmes after receiving a complaint of noise. The deputies came knocking at Manpreet Toor's house upon complaints from neighbours during the Jaggo ceremony which surprised the family members. However, the fears dissipated soon after they agreed to join the celebrations.

According to the television channel ABC10, the incident took place on April 13 in the city of Tracy just ahead of Toor's brother Mandiver getting married to his fiancée Raman.

As the night progressed the relatives and friends thronged the venue and music filled the backyard. "We just sang, we danced, we just partied because we were super excited. The music was really loud because it was an outdoor event," Manpreet Toor told ABC10.

Kanda Productions, which was involved with the wedding functions, told a local news channel that the party continued beyond 10 pm. It's when one of the neighbours complained to the police.

The family agreed to lower the volume, but on the condition that the deputies will dance with them on a song. The cops seemed to have agreed with their condition and can be seen grooving to the Punjabi music. A video of their dance was posted by Kanda Productions on Instagram, which has received 33,886 likes so far.

"We asked them to dance and then I taught him two moves, 'turn the doorknob', 'turn the lightbulb', 'crush the cigarette' and he got up there and he just did his own thing. He was awesome," Toor was quoted by the channel.

Later in a tweet, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office praised the attendees for their kindness and hospitality adding that homeowners agreed to turn the music down.

Toor further informed that Manvinder and Raman exchanged the wedding vows during a ceremony two days later. The two deputies were invited for their reception too.
