'Remember Me': Placard During India-New Zealand Match At Dharamsala Stadium Impresses Sports Minister

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur applauded the boy for his determination to play cricket for India in the future and suggested him to keep nurturing his dreams.

The World Cup match between India and New Zealand at the Dharamsala cricket stadium in Himachal Pradesh was a cracker of a game. India comfortably won the match by four wickets at the end. Several political leaders, including Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur was present at the stadium to watch the clash. During the match, the 49-year-old MP from Himachal’s Hamirpur cam across a placard by a young cricket fan that melt his heart.

The Union Minister took to the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, and shared a picture of the boy named Tryaksh Aggarwal holding a placard that reads, ''One day I will play for India. Remember me.'' 

The minister applauded the boy for his determination to play cricket for India and wrote, "Absolutely heartwarming to see young Tryaksh Aggarwal’s determination and dreams. Awaiting your journey eagerly from placard to the pitch! Nurture your dreams, and together, we’ll watch them grow into reality!."

Since being shared, the post has amassed over 4 lakh views and 28k likes. People swarmed the comments section to wish the boy luck for his future.

"Good find, Sir...BEST of luck Iryaksh Aggarwal," wrote another user.
