'What Did Rahul Gandhi Do In 20 Years': Ahead Of Telangana Election, BRS Wages Fresh War On Congress
The statement of Kavitha also comes as Congress has made arrangements for a massive rally with leader Sonia Gandhi on outskirts of Hyderabad to launch campaign for Telangana Assembly Elections 2023.
BRS leader Kavitha came down heavily on Congress and termed the party as "intellectually bankrupt". The MLC questioned what Rahul Gandhi did to his former Amethi constituency which elected him as an MP for 20 years. She also said the people of India will not take Congress seriously and they will reject them everywhere. The fiery statements of Kavitha comes as BRS, Congress, BJP and other regional parties have locked horns amid the runup for Telangana Assembly Elections 2023.
BRS leader K Kavitha said, "Rahul Gandhi was a leader for 20 years, but what did he do for his Amethi constituency? The party (Congress) is intellectually bankrupt, lacks execution power, and does not have a commitment to the people of the nation. We are not going to take them seriously and people of India will reject them everywhere."

The statement of Kavitha also comes as Congress has made arrangements for a massive rally on the outskirts of the capital. During the rally, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is also set to release five poll guarantees for the state at a rally on September 17.
On the CWC meeting, BRS MLC K Kavitha said,"Today we (Telangana) stand at number one in every possible indices in the country from per capita income to water harvesting, welfare schemes, irrigation projects...We attract a lot of industries to Hyderabad...We have continuously seen political activities of the Congress party in the state...They are declaring many schemes...They are trying to give the same things which we have already achieved."
"They are not thinking for the people...I don't think they will serve any purpose to the people of state and nation," she said.
'Operation Akarsh'
BRS has undertaken 'Operation Akarsh' to woo the corporators of the saffron party to BRS.
Earlier, six corporators from constituencies including Amberpet, Uppal and LB Nagar were contacted by BRS to join their party. The corporators play a prominent role in the Assembly elections, reported Times of India.
BRS is mulling bagging Amberpet Constituency which is the stronghold of Minister G Kishan Reddy. He won from Amberpet in 2014 but lost his seat in 2018. However, still, three BJP corporators won from the assembly constituency in GHMC polls in 2020.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Kishan Reddy who took up a fast in support of the demands of the unemployed youth ended his fast after 24 hours on Thursday.
On the other hand, the Congress has been campaigning against BRS by terming the pink party as the B-team of BJP. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi said that BRS means Bharat Rishthedaar Samiti and they are the B team of the BJP.
