Telangana: TRS MLC Kavitha To File Defamation Case Against BJP Leaders
The TRS MLC claimed that the BJP government was attempting to silence the opposition by using every investigative agency, the media, and other resources.
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi Member of Legislative Council K Kavitha to file a defamation case against Delhi BJP leaders, BJP MP Parvesh Varma and former BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa. She will also move to court seeking an injunction order against those making the allegations against her.
The BJP leaders had on Sunday alleged that Kavitha, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter, was also involved in Delhi liquor policy scam. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is also embroiled in the case.
Kavitha termed the allegations "completely baseless". "Today, I want to make it clear that allegations made against me by the BJP and their leaders are completely baseless. Allegations will certainly remain allegations," she said as quoted by IANS.

"I want to say in front of the nation that my leader honourable KCR garu, who is chief minister of Telangana, has been very vocal and has been very sharp in criticising policies of the BJP government. I believe and the people of Telangana believe that rattled by the allegations made by the CM, the BJP is trying to malign the reputation of our family," she further said.
The TRS MLC claimed that the BJP administration was attempting to silence the opposition by using every investigative agency, the media, and other resources. "The BJP is meddling with the wrong people, I'm very sorry. We won't back down or turn around. We are fighters," said Kavitha.
Meanwhile, BJP activists hold protests outside the house of MLC K Kavita. Banjara hills police detain the protesters.
