Hyderabad: A total of 29 girl students at Gurukul School at Wyra in Khammam district tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. Thirteen of the school's 575 kids had been sick in the last few days. This comes in the process of getting back to normal after being ravaged by Covid-19. The pandemic continues to haunt despite the schools being instructed to operate with strict corona rules.


As a result, the school's administrator summoned medical and health department personnel to evaluate the pupils. They tested them and found that 29 of them were positive for Covid-19.


"Some students at Gurukul School and Girls' Junior College in Wyra, Khammam district, were down with fever. As corona symptoms arose, tests were carried out. A total of 29 of them were diagnosed with Covid-19 positive," said Dr B Malathi, district medical and health officer as quoted by ABP Desam.

The students who tested positive for Covid-19 have been kept in separate rooms, and their parents were worried. They rushed to the school and enquired about their health condition.


According to a report in ABP Desam, the coronavirus cases are being reported in various schools in many mandals of Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts, including Mudigonda, Enkoor, Kallur, Dammapet, Aswaraopet, and Karepalli. District medical and health officer of Bhadradri Kothagudem district said the people should follow Covid-19 guidelines.


Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao telephoned the district health authorities and enquired about the students' health condition who tested positive. He ordered officials to take necessary action to contain the spread of coronavirus.
