Telangana Industry and Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao has demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to fulfill commitments made to Telangana under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. He said the Prime Minister, during his upcoming visit to Warangal, should explain why he failed to honour the commitments.

KTR specifically pointed out the failure to establish a rail coach factory at Kazipet as promised. Instead, a facility for repairing rail coaches is being set up. The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Telangana on July 12 to lay the foundation stone for the Railway Coach Periodic Overhauling facility at Kazipet.

KTR also criticised PM Modi for alleged discrimination against Telangana, citing the establishment of a rail coach factory in Gujarat at Rs 21,000 crore while denying the same to Telangana. He emphasised that the Prime Minister should serve the entire country and not favor specific regions.

"Applying different standards for different regions is unjust. The Prime Minister should not represent only Gujarat; he should serve the entire nation," he said.

KTR also questioned the Prime Minister's failure to establish a tribal university in Telangana as promised in the AP Reorganisation Act. "Despite the state government allocating 360 acres of land in Mulugu for the university, no steps have been taken by the Centre to establish it," the minister said.

KTR also raised concerns about the unfulfilled commitment to set up a steel factory at Bayyaram.

KTR urged people not to trust the "false promises" of the Congress party. He claimed that the party, which has allegedly deceived people for 50 years, is once again attempting to mislead them for power. KTR called on the people to vote for the BRS to ensure Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao can continue implementing welfare measures for the poor.
