Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a man died in a road accident hours before his wedding in Telangana on Thursday.
According to police, the deceased, identified as Chaitanya Samuel (34), was a resident of the local Christian colony in Mahabubnagar. On Thursday, he was on his way to Calvary Church in Mahabubnagar for his wedding, scheduled at 11.30am.
The incident took place on Jatcharla-Mahabubnagar National Highway No. 167 in Mahabubnagar district when the car he was travelling in collided with a tree on the side of the road and overturned. The locals rushed to the spot and immediately informed the police who took him to the nearby Badepalli Government Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Later, his family members were informed and the body was handed over to them, police added.
Samuel had been working as a government teacher in Thirmalapur village in Narayanpet district. He was supposed to marry a woman from the town of Wanaparthy in the southern state.
Police further said that he had sustained severe injuries in the head and leg due to which he died.
