Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy hoisted the national flag at Golkonda Fort on the occasion of the decennial celebrations of the formation of Telangana state. He paid tribute to all those who had fought tirelessly for the formation of Telangana as a separate state. The event aimed to celebrate the achievements and progress made by the state over the past decade. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended greetings to the people of Telangana. In a tweet, PM Modi said, "On the Formation Day of Telangana, my greetings to the people of this wonderful state. The skills of its people and the richness of its culture are greatly admired. I pray for the well-being and prosperity of Telangana".

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government has planned a wide range of activities and released a 21-day schedule to celebrate a decade of Telangana state formation, with various cultural events, flag-hoisting ceremonies, processions, and programmes that highlight the achievements and progress made by Telangana since its inception. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced that his government will celebrate the state's formation day on a grand scale for 21 days starting June 2.
On Thursday, CM KCR expressed his pride and optimism, stating that the state has successfully overcome various challenges and political conspiracies over the past nine years. He emphasised that Telangana has emerged as a model state, setting an example for the entire country. Despite the obstacles faced, the state has made significant progress and achieved commendable development.
The Chief Minister expressed delight at the progress made by Telangana despite facing setbacks in the past. He conveyed his happiness that the state is now playing a significant role in advancing the country across various domains. He acknowledged the collective efforts of the state government and the active participation of the people in driving development and welfare programmes.
