New Delhi: On Thursday, the producers of the upcoming Tamil film ‘Jailer’ announced that the shooting has concluded. The film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar stars Rajinikanth and Tamannaah Bhatia. Sun Pictures, the film's production company, released images from the exclusive after-party. The cast and crew of the film can be seen posing with a giant cake with the words "Jailer shooting wrapped" on it.
Rajinikanth finished filming for his next flick Jailer after an intensive shoot. Sun Pictures posted a few photos from the wrap-up party on their social media accounts. In the first photo, Rajinikanth was seen smiling with Tamannaah Bhatia and the rest of the cast and crew. The second photo showed him slicing into a massive cake with the title of the movie. The whole squad smiled for the camera in the third snap.
The makers of the film earlier dropped a teaser unveiling Rajnikanth's character on his birthday.
Rajinikanth is collaborating with director Nelson for the first time on this full-fledged action film.
In 'Jailer', Rajinikanth will essay the role of a prison jailer and the film has predominantly been shot entirely inside a prison. The film also stars Mohanlal, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan and Jackie Shroff in key roles apart from Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan.
‘Jailer’ will hit theatres across the globe on August 10 — just in time for the long Independence Day 2023 weekend.
