Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies director Satish Kumar and Nirmal district Collector Musharraf Ali met the Basar IIIT students on Sunday. Officials told students that the government was ready to address their demands. They explained to the students that the university had already repaired damaged electrical, water, and drainage pipeline works.
The officials assured students that the University's Vice-Chancellor would be appointed as per the demands. However, the students insisted that they would stop the protest if they were assured in writing by the officials that their problems would be resolved.
The Basar IIIT Student Governing Council (SGC) issued a press release on Sunday. Since the commencement of the protest, Minister Indira Reddy, Collector Musharraf Ali, Mudhol MLA Vittal Reddy, TSPSC Vice-Chairman Venkataramana, RGUKT Director Satish Kumar, and others have held conversations with students. However, they failed to bore fruits, said in the release.
