A wedding in Telangana was called off because the groom's family was upset because mutton bone marrow was not provided as part of the non-vegetarian meal chosen by the bride's family, as per media reports. The bride came from Nizamabad, while the groom came from Jagtiyal. They were engaged in November at the bride's house, but the ceremony was put off soon after. The bride's family had planned a non-vegetarian dinner for their guests, as well as the groom's relatives.

When guests pointed out that bone marrow of mutton was not being provided, a quarrel broke out following the wedding ceremony. When the hosts, the bride's family, acknowledged that no bone marrow had been used in the dishes, the argument heated up.
