Amid vote counting of the Munugode byelection, TRS and BJP have expressed disappointment over the delay in the declaration of round-wise counting results
Amid vote counting of the Munugode byelection on Sunday, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) have expressed disappointment over the delay in the declaration of round-wise counting results. BJP alleged that TRS has conspired in the counting of votes.
Telangana Minister Jagadish Reddy has expressed his anger over the delay of results while BJP's Rajya Sabha MP K Laxman alleged that TRS has conspired even with the vote counting in Mungode by-election. "When BJP was leading in the first 3-4 rounds, it wasn't published on official website immediately. Whereas round-wise updates from other seats were being published," BJP MP said as quoted by news agency ANI.
While stating that the stakes are high and only BJP can fight TRS in the state, he said, "The state govt has made this poll a matter of their prestige as BJP is rising here. Only BJP can fight TRS. I hope that BJP will win by the last round of counting. In the days to come, there'll be a BJP wave in the state."
