Former BRS MLA Jeevan Reddy, Wife Booked For Trespassing, Land Grab
The complainant further alleged that last year, former MLA Jeevan Reddy, his wife A. Rajitha, and his mother A. Rajubai, who own adjacent land, unlawfully occupied half of his property.
The Chevella police have filed a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former MLA Jeevan Reddy following a complaint from businessman Sama Damodhar Reddy. The complaint alleged that Reddy and his family members forcibly took over his land in Erlapally village, Ranga Reddy district.
Sama Damodhar Reddy stated that he purchased 20 acres and 20 guntas of land on the outskirts of Erlapally village in 2002, where he built a function hall. He claimed to have maintained possession of the land since then.
The businessman further alleged that last year, former MLA Jeevan Reddy, his wife A. Rajitha, and his mother A. Rajubai, who own adjacent land, unlawfully occupied half of his property. They allegedly demolished the function hall and constructed a new building on the site.
The complainant, Sama Damodhar Reddy, stated that when he attempted to access his land, he was obstructed and threatened by D. Suresh, a watchman, along with members of a 'Bihar and Punjab gang'. He further alleged that on May 22, 2024, when he tried to enter his land again, gang members from other states brandished deadly weapons and threatened him with dire consequences, preventing his entry.
Based on his complaint, Chevella police have registered a case against Jeevan Reddy under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The case was filed at the Chevella police station under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, and an investigation has been initiated.
Jeevan Reddy, a former BRS MLA from the Armoor constituency in Nizamabad district, was elected twice, in 2014 and 2018, but was defeated in the November 2023 elections.
Meanwhile, during the vacation period, a two-judge panel from the Telangana High Court issued a directive to the TGSRTC, instructing them to unseal the Jeevan Reddy Mall and multiplex located at Arramudu bus depot in Nizamabad.
