Earlier, ED had summoned Kavitha who is also the daughter of KCR for questioning over alleged irregularities in the case to its office in Delhi. However, the BRS MLC did not appear before the ED since her petition was pending before the Supreme Court.

At a news conference on Thursday in Nizamabad, Kavitha responded to questions regarding the situation and asserted that the ED notice she received was politically motivated. She also referred to the ED notice as a "Modi notice," which suggested political retaliation, reported India Today.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court deferred hearing on the bail pleas of AAP leader Manish Sisodia in two Delhi excise policy cases being probed by the CBI and ED for October 4. Sisodia was earlier arrested by ED in a money laundering case on March 9.
