5 Arrested In Hyderabad Under Attempted Murder Charges For Attacking Neighbour And Dog
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) Vijay Kumar stated that the accused and the injured persons are neighbours who had been involved in ongoing disputes over petty matters.
The Hyderabad Police arrested five individuals on charges of attempted murder following an attack on a neighbour, his wife, and their pet dog after an altercation. According to the police, the accused assaulted N. Srinath, his wife, and their dog on the evening of May 14 in Rahmath Nagar area, within Madhura Nagar Police Station limits.
Srinath, his wife, and their dog sustained serious injuries. The CCTV footage of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

The Madhura Nagar police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 147 (punishment for rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with a deadly weapon), 307 (attempt to murder) read with 149 (unlawful assembly), as well as Section 11(1) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
The accused, all of whom are relatives, were brought before a court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vijay Kumar stated that the investigation is ongoing, and the investigation officer will file a chargesheet with appropriate evidence upon its completion.
On May 8, the trouble started when Srinath took his Siberian Husky for a walk without a leash. The dog allegedly attacked Dhanunjay and his brother-in-law, Sai Kumar, prompting them to file a complaint with the local police.
