Leaks suggest that Xiaomi is looking to expand its tablet lineup with the upcoming Pad 7 series, expected to feature two models -- the Pad 7 and the improved Pad 7 Pro. Despite the lack of official details, there are indications that a Xiaomi tablet, possibly the Pad 7 Pro, will feature 120W fast charging, as seen on 3C certification platform, the media has reported.
In line with the speculations, a Xiaomi tablet with the model number 24018RPACC has appeared on China's 3C certification platform, says a report by Gizmo China. This certification strongly suggests a 120W fast charging feature, corroborating some earlier leaks related to the Pad 7 Pro.
According to Digital Chat Station, after introducing the Pad 6 Pro to China in April 2023, Xiaomi is now set to unveil the Pad 7 lineup. There are reports that suggest the upcoming flagship tablet is scheduled for launch next month, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The leakster indicated an upcoming Pad 7 equipped with the previous year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, whereas the Pro variant is expected to boast Qualcomm's latest flagship SoC. This represents a significant advancement compared to the Pad 6 lineup, where both the Pro and Max models featured a year-old chipset, and the reviewed vanilla version from last summer utilized the dated Snapdragon 870.
Expected to operate on Android 14 OS-based custom HyperOS, the tablet is poised to showcase a notable 50-megapixel dual-camera configuration at the back. Additionally, the device could boast a quad-speaker arrangement for audio, complemented by a substantial 10,000mAh battery to ensure prolonged device usage.
