Xiaomi 12 Pro Coming Soon To India To Rival OnePlus 10 Pro

Xiaomi is launching the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India this month, the company confirmed on late Thursday, moments ahead of the OnePlus 10 Pro's launch.

New Delhi: Xiaomi is launching the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India this month, the company confirmed on late Thursday, moments ahead of the OnePlus 10 Pro's launch in the country. The India launch of Xiaomi 12 Pro comes months after its unveiling in the company's home turf China and other regions globally. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is a flagship offering from the handset maker, as the name suggests. However, it will sit below a rumoured Xiaomi 12 Ultra, as and when the latter launches.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro will take on the likes of OnePlus 10 Pro and Realme GT 2 Pro among others.

"Life is a show, let's make it worth the wait. #𝑋𝑖𝑎𝑜𝑚𝑖12𝑃𝑟𝑜 5𝐺 is coming soon to India! Because the show is incomplete without "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿"," Xiaomi officially announced on Twitter.

Minutes later, the launch of Xiaomi 12 Pro was also confirmed by Manu Kumar Jain, the Head of Xiaomi India and the Global Vice President of Xiaomi on Twitter. "The 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 will tell. #𝑋𝑖𝑎𝑜𝑚𝑖12𝑃𝑟𝑜 5G is coming soon! 😍 I ❤️ #Xiaomi," Jain tweeted.

Even though Jain did not mention a specified date for the launch of the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India, but the picture posted along with his tweet featured a calendar with April 12 marked, thus, indicating that the smartphone may be unveiled in India on April 12. It is also not known if the Xiaomi 12 Pro India launch will also witness the launch of the vanilla Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X.

Xiaomi 12 Pro specs and features

As the name suggests, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be a flagship from the handset maker and will feature the top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone has a 6.73 inch 120Hz QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display and 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of storage. The Xiaomi 12 Pro runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.

The device has a triple-camera setup at the back led by a 50MP Sony IMX 707 sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera in the front housed in a hole-punch cutout on the screen. The battery capacity is 4,600mAh with support for an insane 120W wired fast charging.

Other Xiaomi 12 Pro's features include NFC, 5G connectivity, stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint reader.
