WhatsApp's New Fun Feature To Allow Use Emoji And Stickers As DP In Group Chats

Initially, this feature will be rolled out only for WhatsApp iOS users. Android users will have to wait a little longer for it. This feature is currently in the testing phase.

New Delhi: WhatsApp comes up with new features for the better convenience of its users, and perhaps that's why the app is much more popular around the world. Taking this forward, the messaging app WhatsApp is coming up with a new fun feature that allows users to use emojis and stickers as DP of their WhatsApp group chats. Chat will be more fun after this feature arrives.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing the feature of a group icon editor that will allow you to use a sticker or emoji as a DP of your group chat. The user will get two options to use the background color with emoji or sticker. Whichever of these options the user selects, WhatsApp will select a group image according to it and apply it as a DP.

According to reports, when you want to change the DP of a group, WhatsApp will give you a new "emoji and stickers" option on the menu along with an option to set it as DP with the background color of the user's choice. After a preview, the user can change the Group's DP by clicking on'Done'.

Feature To Be Rolled Out For iOS Users

Note that, this feature will be rolled out first only for WhatsApp iOS users. However, Android users can get this feature later. The feature is in the testing phase on iOS and the testing slots of the beta version of this feature have been completed.
