WhatsApp New Feature: Tap On Profile Picture To View Users' Status, Feature Coming Soon

Soon WhatsApp users will be able to view the status by just tapping the profile picture. This feature will be like Instagram.

New Delhi: Facebook-owned WhatsApp updates the features from time to time to improve the experience of its users. Once again the company is going to do the same.

Most users share events related to their daily life every day through their WhatsApp status. Now, it will get a new update soon. A green color ring will now be visible on the profile picture of the contacts being shown in the users' list, by tapping on which users will be able to see the status directly. Until now it could be seen separately by going to the status. However, official information has not yet to be given out by the company.

How Does It Work: According to a report by WABetaInfo, a website that monitors the latest updates of WhatsApp, if a user uploads his status after the status feature is updated, a green ring will be formed on his profile picture, which will show that the user has just updated the status. This feature has been spotted on beta version 2.21.17.5. The feature is currently being tested and may be announced by the company soon.

Feature Similar To Instagram: This feature will be like Instagram. Just as it has a ring on the profile in chats and users can tap on it to see the story of other users, this new WhatsApp feature will work similarly. The company launched this status feature in 2017, which is going to get an update.

Chats Can Be Transferred From iOS To Android: WhatsApp recently announced its most awaited feature, which allows users to easily transfer their iOS chats to Android. Until now, if you switched from iPhone to an Android phone, you had to resort to a third-party app to transfer chats. There were many other hassles to go through, but now WhatsApp is making it easier for its users.

WhatsApp announced this at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. After which Samsung users will be able to easily transfer their iPhone chats there. It will be initially launched at the event along with a foldable phone from Samsung. The company said in its announcement that if you want to switch the mobile operating system, WhatsApp will be able to transfer all the chats, including your voice notes safely. The feature aims to allow users to easily switch chats within the operating system of their choice.
