Not only this but they can also check how many people have viewed our status so far. But there are times when we don't want some people to know about our daily life and in those situations, we can hide our online status from such people. Let's look into the steps to hide your status on WhatsApp.

How to Hide Status on WhatsApp

Step 1: To hide WhatsApp status, first go to 'Settings'.

Step 2: Now select the 'Account' option and then tap on 'Privacy'. 

Step 3: Here you will see the options of 'Last Seen', 'Profile Photo', 'About' and 'Status'.   
Here you have to tap on 'Status'.

Step 4: You will have three options, 'My Contacts', 'My Contacts except' and 'Only Share with'.
Here you have to select 'My Contacts except'.

Step 5: Now your contact list will appear on your phone screen.  Here you can select the person from whom you want to hide your status.

Step 6: After doing this, the person you have selected will not be able to see your WhatsApp Status.
