Handset maker Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo V23 series is making its way to India on January 5 without divulging the further details of the lineup.

New Delhi: Handset maker Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo V23 series is making its way to India on January 5 without divulging the further details of the lineup. The Vivo V23 5G line will come with India's first 50MP Eye Autofocus Dual Selfie cameras, the media has reported. The pricier V23 Pro is likely to be the slimmest smartphone with a curved edge screen.

The Vivo V23 series will comprise the vanilla Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro and will feature a dual selfie camera setup, says a report by GSMArena.

According to an official promo aired by Vivo during a sports match, both the Vivo V23 and the Vivo V23 Pro will be launched in India soon. The promo also showed the device in Sunshine Gold colour variant.

Some of the specifications of the Vivo V23 series include a Sunshine Gold colour variant, a triple rear camera setup lead by a 64MP primary sensor, and an “ultra-slim 3D curved display”. The vanilla Vivo V23 is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, paired with 8GB RAM and the Vivo V23 Pro may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset as well.

According to some previous rumours and leaks, the Vivo V23 series that will be unveiled in India could be largely based on Vivo S12 series that was recently unveiled in the company's home turf China. The Vivo S12 Pro that was launched in China features a 108MP primary sensor on the rear camera. However, the Vivo V23 series of smartphones may pack 64MP primary sensors.
