Apple iPhone SE 3 And 2 iPad Models Imported To India For Testing, May Launch In Spring

Apple is testing the purported third-generation iPhone SE in India and has also imported two tablets, purportedly the upcoming iPad Air and the budget iPad, for testing in the country.

New Delhi: Apple is testing the purported third-generation iPhone SE in India and has also imported two tablets, purportedly the upcoming iPad Air and the budget iPad, for testing in the country, the media has reported. The Cupertino, California-based tech giant has imported three iPhone SE models into India, with model numbers A2595, A2783, and A2784 and according to the import data, the model has a price of Rs 23,000, says a report published by 91Mobiles.

Quoting industry sources, the report added that the two iPad models have been imported for testing purposes and the next iteration in the "budget" iPhone SE lineup is the purported iPhone SE 3. The trio is likely to be officially unveiled in India this spring.

Meanwhile, there have been a couple of leaks and rumours about the purported iPhone SE 2022 edition. According to a previous report from January, the next iteration in the iPhone SE lineup, could launch in April. News agency Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had mentioned that the upcoming iPhone SE 3 will be unveiled at the iPhone maker's next virtual launch event that is likely to happen in March or April this year.

Earlier in January, Dylan, who has built a strong reputation within the Apple community last year, mentioned that the Cupertino, California-based tech giant will release an iPhone SE with 5G, a spec-sheet bump, and the same design as the 2020 model. "The iPhone SE with a similar design to the XR/11 with a slightly smaller screen size, has been pushed back to an expected release of 2024. For 2022, Apple will instead release an iPhone SE with 5G, a spec bump, and the same design as the 2020 model," Dylan had tweeted from his handle @dylandkt.

More exciting will be to see the purported iPhone SE with the same design language as the iPhone XR or iPhone 11, if it sees the light of the day, at all.
