Samsung on Wednesday announced it will host its first Galaxy Unpacked event in three years. The South Korean tech giant has sent out media invites for the flagship event, also its first in-person event in three years since the coronavirus pandemic, that will take place on February 1 in San Fransisco. Samsung will also live-stream the launch of the Galaxy S23 line on its official YouTube channel, Samsung Newsroom, Samsung.com and Samsung India’s YouTube channel.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event will kick off at 10 am PST on February 1 or at 11:30 pm IST on the same day.

"A new era of Galaxy innovation is coming. Our innovations are designed to enable incredible possibilities for people today and beyond. The new Galaxy S series will be the epitome of how we define the ultimate premium experience. We’re raising the bar and setting new standards for what’s epic," Samsung India said.

The new Galaxy S23 smartphones will come with different display and battery sizes and the premium Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature the best specs. It is being said that Samsung is likely to use AMOLED E6 panel on the upcoming Galaxy S23 series. The same AMOLED E6 was also featured on the new iQOO 11.

Meanwhile, Samsung is likely to unveil its new Galaxy-exclusive chipset at the launch of the flagship Galaxy S23 lineup launch. Famed leakster Ice Universe recently teased that a poster by Samsung Columbia website revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be launching on February 1.

According to the latest leak by Universe, TM Roh, Samsung’s President of Mobile Experience Business, will unveil a “Galaxy dedicated chip” at the launch of the Galaxy S23 series.

To recall, earlier in April 2022, Roh had indicated that the South Korean tech major may be developing a dedicated chip for Galaxy handsets. Some reports say that Google's proprietary Tensor chip, which will be reintroduced in the upcoming Google Pixel Fold, will provide the same AI capabilities that Samsung is likely to include in its in-house chipset.

This would be the first high-end processor that is claimed to be developed utilising the second or third generation of 3-nm GAA manufacturing technology, which is used by Samsung Foundry. However, further details about the CPU’s features have not been made public yet.
