Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: Samsung is gearing up for its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, scheduled for Wednesday, January 22. The highly anticipated showcase will take place in San Jose and promises a host of exciting announcements, including the debut of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series. Additionally, teasers for other innovative devices like the Galaxy Ring 2 and XR Glasses are expected to captivate the audience.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked: What to Expect
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
The spotlight of the event will be the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series, comprising three models:
- Samsung Galaxy S25
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
Each model will boast a refreshed design, with the Ultra variant featuring pronounced curves. They are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and operate on One UI 7 based on Android 15. Camera setups include:
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: A quad-camera system led by a 200MP sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto, and 50MP periscope lenses.
- Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus: A triple-camera array featuring a 50MP primary sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto lenses.
All three devices will sport vibrant Dynamic AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and incorporate enhanced Galaxy AI features under the "Gemini" codename. The series might also include larger batteries, although specific details remain under wraps. Pre-orders are now open in India with a booking fee of ₹1,999.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim
Samsung may also unveil the Galaxy S25 Slim, touted as one of its thinnest smartphones.
Measuring just 6.4mm thick, the Slim variant is rumoured to feature a 6.7 or 6.8-inch display. While it won't launch alongside the main series, the device is expected to hit the market by May 2025.
Samsung Galaxy Ring 2
Samsung is likely to offer a sneak peek at its second-generation Galaxy Ring. Rumoured upgrades include better battery life, advanced health sensors, and AI-powered features for fitness tracking.
Samsung XR Glasses (Project Moohan)
The brand is also expected to tease its XR Glasses, developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm.
These augmented reality glasses, running on the Android XR platform, represent Samsung’s latest foray into mixed-reality technology.
