During a recent roundtable discussion at MWC, Samsung's Vice President, Hon Pak, made a noteworthy declaration stating that the upcoming Galaxy Ring will not be compatible with iPhones. This firm stance reflects Samsung's strategic positioning in the mobile market. Pak, in addressing the Android/iOS compatibility challenge, expressed Samsung's confidence in the Galaxy Ring and underscored the comparable standing of Samsung devices with those of Apple.
He articulated compelling reasons for consumers to consider transitioning to Samsung's ecosystem. Furthermore, Pak revealed Samsung's ongoing efforts to integrate with other Android devices, extending beyond the scope of Samsung phones.
The Galaxy Ring is set to be available in various sizes, featuring smaller variants with a 14 mAh battery and larger models equipped with a 21.5 mAh unit. These specifications are expected to deliver an impressive battery life spanning between 5 to 9 days.
While the precise release date for the Galaxy Ring remains undisclosed, speculations point to its unveiling alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 at the Unpacked event scheduled for July.
