Reliance Jio Fiber: New Postpaid Service Starts From June 17 - Check Plan, Validity, Speed & More

Reliance Jio is set to launch its new postpaid broadband service on June 17. At present, the company is providing this new connection to the users without charging any installation fee.

New Delhi: Reliance Jio will start providing its postpaid broadband service from June 17 without charging an installation fee on new connections. A company source provided this information. The company currently charges an installation fee of Rs. 1,500 for a new connection.

Plans Start From Rs. 399

The company has come up with several new postpaid plans. These plans will start at Rs. 399 per month. With the launch of Jio Fiber, the company also announced that new users will get a free router with their plan.

Installation Free On 6 Months Validity

The source said that the free router and free installation are available to users who opt for plans with a minimum validity of 6 months. All schemes will be applicable from June 17.

Users Will Get Equal Upload And Download Speeds

Reliance Jio's new postpaid plan will offer equal upload and download speeds. Users will get upload and download speeds of 30 MBps for the Rs. 399 plan, 100 MBps for the Rs. 699 plan, 150 MBps for the Rs. 999 plan, and 300 MBps for the Rs. 1,499 plan. Jio Fiber also offers plans up to 1 GBps.

Free OTT Service With 999 Plan

Customers will also get the benefit of free OTT services with Rs. 999 postpaid Jio Fiber connection. They will get access to 14 popular OTT applications, including Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, Sony Liv, Zee5, Voot Select, Sun NXT, and Hoichoi. The 1,499 plan will include all 15 OTT apps including Netflix. With a security deposit of Rs. 1000, the company will offer a set-top box free of cost to the customers so the OTT apps can run optimally.

Airtel Broadband Plans 
Airtel XStream Fiber Broadband plan offers unlimited data and unlimited free voice calls. Customers who opt for a landline phone with their connection will get a calling facility.
Focusing on entertainment, the plan offers over 1,000 movies, shows, multiple OTT apps, and studio series.
Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and Zee5 will be available with Airtel broadband plans of Rs. 999, Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 3,999.
Under the plan, customers will also get an Airtel XStream Box worth Rs. 3,999.
Customers will get subscriptions to all live TV channels and video streaming apps. This Android 9.0-powered smart box will come with intelligent remote support. It also features Google Assistant Voice Search support.
