Redmi Pad Pro 5G With 12.1-Inch Screen, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Launched: Price, Specifications, More

Redmi Pad Pro 5G has been launched in China, expanding the Xiaomi sub-brand's tablet lineup with a dual-SIM variant. This new model features a 12.1-inch display and operates on Xiaomi's HyperOS right out of the box. It follows the launch of the 4G version of the Redmi Pad Pro, which was introduced in April. The 5G version boasts similar specifications to its predecessor and is offered in two different configurations of RAM and storage. 

Redmi Pad Pro 5G: Specifications, Features

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a 12.1-inch LCD screen that supports a resolution of 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600 pixels). The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and can reach up to 600 nits of peak brightness. Additionally, it supports Dolby Vision and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and is available with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The device runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS, which is based on Android 14.

For photography, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. An 8-megapixel front-facing camera is also provided for selfies and video calls. The tablet is fueled by a substantial 10,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Connectivity options for the Redmi Pad Pro 5G include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port. The tablet is also equipped with quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos for an enhanced audio experience. The device weighs 566 grams and its dimensions are 280 x 181.85 x 7.52mm.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G: Price, Availability

The starting price for the Redmi Pad Pro 5G in China is CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,000) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 27,600). Consumers can purchase the tablet in Dark Grey through the Xiaomi China website.

There's been no information on when Redmi Pad Pro will be available in India at the time of writing.
