Realme 12X 5G Launching Soon, To Be Priced Under Rs 12,000, Company Confirms

The Realme 12X 5G is set for its Indian debut on April 2, a day after OnePlus Nord CE4 launches in the country. Now, a week before its official launch, Realme has revealed both the price range and hardware specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The Realme 12X 5G is set to boast 45W SuperVOOC fast charging and will sport a full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it is teased to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC.

Realme 12X 5G Specifications, Features, Price

The Realme 12X 5G will have a thickness of around 7.69mm. Equipped with a stereo speaker setup, the smartphone will also support Air Gestures. Additionally, it will be IP54-rated and include a rainwater smart touch feature. The company has additionally revealed the forthcoming Realme 12X 5G with its predecessor to highlight that it will be an enhancement across nearly all features.

Sporting a fashionable watch design akin to other Realme 12 series smartphones, the Realme 12X 5G will also introduce a dynamic button, a feature reminiscent of Apple's action button.

In a press release, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that the Realme 12X 5G will be priced below Rs 12,000 in India. Additionally, it will support 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. The device is confirmed to sport a 6.72-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 950 nits of peak brightness. It is hinted to include dual speakers and measure 7.69mm in thickness. The phone is touted as the first 5G device in the sub-Rs 12,000 price range to offer both a 45W fast charging feature and dual speakers.

Similar to its Chinese counterpart, the Indian version of the Realme 12X 5G is set to run on a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G chipset with VC cooling. It will boast a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor and come with an IP54-certified build. Additionally, the device will introduce an Air Gesture feature enabling users to navigate through the phone without physical contact.

Earlier this month, Realme unveiled the Realme 12X in China, priced at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs 16,000) for the base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. In India, Realme introduced the Realme 12+ 5G and the Realme 12 5G earlier this month, priced at Rs 20,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively. The former is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, while the vanilla Realme 12 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoC.
