Oppo Reveals ColorOS 12 Update Timeline In India

Handset maker Oppo has announced the latest list of models that will receive the Android 12 update in the coming weeks in India.

New Delhi: Handset maker Oppo has announced the latest list of models that will receive the ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 update in the coming weeks in India. According to Oppo, the beta version of the ColorOS 12 will roll out starting December 10 for a few devices and a few weeks later, the stable update will also be introduced. The first lot of devices that will get the update includes this year's flagships and last year's Find X2.

"Starting 10th December, the ColorOS 12 Beta Version will be available on the F19 Pro+ and the Reno5 Pro 5G; the Oppo A74 5G will get the same update from 28th December onwards. The operating system will be available on the Find X2 from 20th December, and on the Reno6 Pro 5G Diwali edition and the Reno6 Pro 5G from 22nd December. From 28th December, the official version will also be available on Reno 6 5G," Oppo said in a statement.

The Android 12 update will be also rolled out to models from the Oppo Find, Reno, F and A series. This will allow more Oppo users to experience ColorOS’ highly customisable UI and features that comprise Three-Finger Translation, FlexDrop, Private System and other enhanced security features, according to the handset maker.

This announcement comes weeks after Oppo revealed its ColorOS 12 update plan for December in its home turf China.

Beginning with ColorOS 7, the smartphone OEM started improving its OS upgrade delivery and now, the company is setting the bar high with ColorOS 12.

Starting December 10

  • Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G to get ColorOS 12 beta
  • Oppo F19 Pro+ 5G to get ColorOS 12 beta

Starting December 20

  • Oppo Find X2 to get stable ColorOS 12 

Starting December 22

  • Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 Pro Diwali Edition to get stable ColorOS 12 update
