The OnePlus Pad, which competes with the likes of Android tabs from Xiaomi, Oppo and Realme will launch in the US and Canada on May 8, which is one week from now. The OnePlus Pad is likely to cost $479 and CAD 649, respectively while the OnePlus Folio Case will cost $39 or CAD 57 and the the OnePlus Stylo will be priced at $99 or CAD 139. The OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard will go on sale for $149 or CAD 209, says a report by GSMArena.
To compare, the price of the OnePlus Pad in India starts at Rs 37,999 for the 8GB/128GB model in India. The other variant costs Rs 39,999 for 12GB/256GB storage.
OnePlus Pad specs, features and design
OnePlus Pad is debuting in the tablet segment with a unified metal body, 2.5D round edge, and cambered frame design, for great handleability. The tab sports a massive 11.61-inch 144 Hz "Read-Fit" display with an industry-first screen ratio of 7:5 and a high 144Hz refresh rate. To compare, Xiaomi Pad 5 and Realme X have refresh rates of 120Hz and 60Hz, respectively. The OnePlus Pad also has Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. The flagship OnePlus tablet also has a hefty 9510mAh battery with support for proprietary 67W SuperVOOC fast charging.
In terms of multimedia features, the tab comes with four speakers and support for Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos. There's a 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. The tablet is powered by Android 13 out-of-the-box and comes with stylus support.
Built for multitasking users, the OnePlus Pad is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which sports a Cortex-X2 core clocked at up to 3.05GHz. The high-end SoC has TSMC N4 (4nm-class) production process, based on Arm's latest V9 architecture. This could help the OnePlus Pad with a 35 per cent performance advantage and 35 per cent power efficiency.
