OnePlus Nord Budget Smartwatch In The Works, May Launch Soon In India

With the expected launch of the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro is just around the corner, the handset maker is also set to foray into the budget smartwatch category in India.

New Delhi: With the expected launch of the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro is just around the corner, the handset maker is also set to foray into the budget smartwatch category in India. The budget smartwatch, purportedly the OnePlus Nord smartwatch will compete with the affordable offerings from the likes of Amazfit, Xiaomi, Realme and more. The budget OnePlus Nord smartwatch is likely to be unveiled alongside the Nord 3 smartphone, the media has reported.

The specs and features of the upcoming smartwatch are not known, but the device is likely to be priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 8,000, thus, falling in the affordable category. According to a report published in 91mobiles, a OnePlus Nord-branded smartwatch is in the works. It is likely to launch alongside the OnePlus Nord 3 in the second half of the year, the report added quoting tipster Yogesh Brar.

Some of the expected features and specs of the Nord smartwatch include a colour touchscreen display and standard features like heart rate sensor, SpO2 monitor, sleep tracking, steps count, notifications, music control, among others. No further details of the upcoming device are currently available. It is likely that OnePlus teases details of the smartwatch in the coming days.

Currently, the handset maker offers the OnePlus Band and the OnePlus Watch in the country. While the OnePlus Watch costs Rs 14,999, the OnePlus Band was launched for Rs 2,499 in India. When it comes to smartwatches, the Rs 10,000 price category and below is dominated by Realme, Amazfit, Xiaomi, domestic brand Boat, among others.
