OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey Limited Edition Phone Built With Microcrystalline Rock Unveiled In India

OnePlus on Monday unveiled the limited edition OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey smartphone.

OnePlus on Monday unveiled the limited edition OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey smartphone. The smartphone is said to be the only one to be made from a rare microcrystalline rock material that resembles a marble finish and creates a visual and tactile experience unique to each phone. The OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey variant is an India-exclusive special edition.

According to the OEM, the company has ensured that no two phones OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey are alike.

Handset maker OnePlus is known to release limited edition smartphones and now, the brand has unveiled its OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey in India. The limited-edition smartphone will be available in India starting June 6. The OnePlus 11 was initially launched in Titan Black and Eternal Green colours in India in February.

OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey Specs, Features, Price And More

The OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey variant has harnessed a raw "visual texture" derived from microcrystalline rock material, thus producing a rear panel that "cannot be replicated". The rear mimics a natural marble, with each device possessing its own distinct characteristics. "The OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey, pays homage to our diverse community as an ode to their own unique stories and experiences."

The OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey limited edition smartphone is likely to cost Rs 64,999 or Rs 3,000 more than the regular model with 256GB storage.

Similar to OnePlus, other handset makers like Samsung, Oppo and Iqoo have released special edition smartphones in the past. Some of the best-limited edition models of all time include Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Star Wars Special Edition, OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition (was perhaps the best-selling superhero limited edition device), Iqoo 3 Transformers Limited Edition and Oppo Reno Ace Gundam 40th Anniversary Edition phone.

Notably, the yield rate for the marble-like rear panel was initially a mere 25 per cent of the original glass back, but through refinement, the company achieved a 50 per cent yield rate for the final limited edition device units.

“With the OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey, we have created an extraordinary smartphone that not only showcases the exceptional artistry and innovation OnePlus is known for, but also a masterpiece that is unique to each and every user," Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus, said in a statement.

"We are proud to present exquisite craftsmanship that narrows the gap between art and technology. The OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey is a true testament to our commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional technology to our users."

Crafting a single piece of this extraordinary material involves a meticulous nine-step production process, ensuring that every panel meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetics. Each piece is meticulously selected or discarded by hand, ensuring that only the most flawless examples are chosen for the final application. The OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey exemplifies OnePlus' commitment to exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail.
