Carl Pei's consumer brand Nothing is set to launch its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1 later today. The Nothing Phone 1 will be unveiled at an event that the company is calling (brace yourselves): Nothing (event): Return to Instinct in London. The launch event can be live-streamed virtually via the company's website starting 8:30 pm IST. The Nothing Phone 1 has been hyped by the founder, Carl Pei who is also the former co-founder of handset maker OnePlus.
We know some of the design aspects and key specifications of the Nothing Phone 1, courtesy of the teasers and some features officially teased by the company.
As mentioned earlier, the company has already revealed some details of the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 and some of the unique features include a mid-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G SoC and customisable LED lights called Glyphy Light. There has been a lot of hype around the phone, courtesy of the LED lights alone that the device is equipped with and a refreshing, flamboyant design.
Based on the leaks and rumours, the Phone 1 will most likely be a mid-ranger with a see-through rear panel. It has customisable LED lights. The other USP of the device is the software, or Nothing OS, which is said to be close to vanilla Android.
Nothing Phone 1 India Price Revealed
The starting price of the Nothing Phone 1 in India has been set at Rs 32,999 for the base 128GB+8GB model. The 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant will cost Rs 35,999 and 12GB RAM+256GB storage model will cost Rs 38,999 in India. Flipkart is India's exclusive channel partner for the Nothing Phone 1.
Nothing Phone 1 Features 778+ SoC And Up To 12GB RAM
As expected, the Phone 1 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ SoC and up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
Nothing Phone 1 Camera Specs Revealed
The Nothing Phone 1 features two rear cameras led by a 50MP primary Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS and EIS and another 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor.
Nothing Phone 1 Is Made Of Recycled Materials, Says Carl Pei
The Nothing Phone 1 is made up of 100 per cent recycled aluminium on the frame. Fifty per cent of the device's plastic components are made with bio-based recycled materials.
Nothing Phone 1 Features Close To Stock Android OS
The Nothing Phone 1 features close to vanilla Android. It will have some additions such as a dedicated quick setting toggle for the Nothing Ear 1.
