Dehradun: Cybercrime is spreading rapidly in Uttarakhand, but if you are aware then you can avoid cyber fraud. Even if you are cheated, Your money transactions can be prevented once you report it. All you need to do is call helpline number 155-260 immediately and lodge your complaint in case of cyber fraud.

How does the 155-260 helpline work?

CFCFRMS (Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System) has been launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India against online frauds. You will have to immediately report the fraud to 155-260, after which this information is immediately entered on the NCRP portal of the Ministry of Home Affairs by the E-Suraksha Chakra Control Room. After receiving the information, a link will be sent to the victim through SMS from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The victim is required to click on this link and register his complaint on the NCRP portal within 24 hours. So that the fraudulent withdrawals by cybercriminals can be stopped and refunded. The bank's transaction is put on hold when the complaint is registered. All banks in the country are connected on this portal. In such a situation, as soon as the information is received, the concerned bank puts the transaction on hold.

Helpline a big relief for cyber victims in Uttarakhand

To provide early relief to the victims in cases like financial cyber fraud, helpline number 155-260 has been duly started in Uttarakhand from June 17. More than 400 phone calls have been received on this number so far. At the same time, more than 6 lakh rupees have been held in banks through the portal.
